Suggestions and off-peak pricing

Promotions, under Menu & stock, has two tabs: "Suggestions", what the menu, the cart and the kiosk suggest to guests and what those suggestions sold, and "Off-peak pricing".

Pair dishes yourself

Under "Pairings", every dish is listed with what "Goes well with" it. A dish with nothing shows "None yet". To choose, click the dish: the pairings are edited on the dish's own page in Menus, under "Advanced settings", where you pick what goes with it. Guests see the pairs as suggestions when they order that dish.

Let BookNDish pair for you

In the "Settings" card, switch on "Pair dishes from what guests buy together". Each night, every dish you have not paired yourself gets the four dishes most often on the same order in the last 60 days. These pairs carry an "Auto" tag in the list. Your own pairs are never replaced.

The same card has "Suggest in the cart". Pick a category, and when the basket has nothing from it, the cart offers its dishes. Leave "Only what goes with the basket" to suggest only pairings. Save with the bar at the bottom of the page.

See what suggestions sold

Under "What suggestions sold", choose a period such as "Last 30 days". "Sold from suggestions" is the money taken from items guests added after a suggestion, and "Share of all sales" puts that in proportion. The list below shows it dish by dish, and a badge per source shows where the suggestion appeared. If nothing sold in the period, the page says so. The report comes with a plan that includes reports.

Off-peak pricing

Off-peak pricing fills the quiet hours with a discount. Press "New window", give it a "Name" guests see beside the price, such as Early bird, a "Discount (%)", the "Days", "From" and "Until". Under "Applies to", choose "The whole menu" or "Some categories", and one branch or "All branches". A window that ends before it starts runs past midnight.

While a window runs, dishes cost less on the menu, the kiosk and the till, and the booking page marks the times that come with it. A booking made for a time inside a window keeps its discount even if the guest orders after it ends. A window shows "Active" while it is on; untick "Running" in the window to pause it, shown as "Paused", without deleting it. Off-peak pricing comes with the plans that include guest revenue.
