Menu and photos
The menu is built under Menus, in Menu & stock. A menu holds categories, a category holds items, and an item can carry variants, a photo, choices, dietary notes and its own tax rule.
Building by hand
Press "New menu", give it a "Menu name" and press "Create menu". Inside it, "Add category" creates a section such as starters or grills. "New item" adds a dish with a name and a price. Prices are typed in your currency as the guest reads them, decimals included, never in cents or millimes.
Open an item to edit the rest. "Names & description" has one field per language your restaurant offers, so a guest reading in Arabic sees the Arabic name. Under "Pricing", "Add variant" lets one dish carry several prices, for example a small and a large; one of them is the "Default".
Importing from a photo
If your menu is already printed, use "Import from a photo" on the Menus page. It accepts JPG, PNG, WebP or PDF up to 20 MB, or the address of the menu page on your website. Press "Read menu": the dishes, prices and categories found appear under "What we found". Correct what needs correcting, then "Import as draft". Everything arrives hidden, so nothing reaches guests until you show it.
Photos
Each item has a "Photo" area: drop a file on it or click to choose one. Photos are shown on the guest menu, so use a picture of the dish as it leaves your kitchen, in landscape, and avoid stock images.
Dietary notes, visibility and tax
Under "Dietary and allergens", tick every allergen the dish contains, or "None of these". Until you do, guests are told the allergens have not been provided. Under "Visibility", "Available to order" takes a dish off sale without deleting it, and "Show on online menu" keeps a dish for the till only.
"Advanced settings" holds the rest. "When it can be ordered" limits a dish to certain hours or days, for a lunch offer or a weekend special. "Tax" picks the VAT profile for each way the dish is consumed: dine in, takeaway and delivery can each carry a different rate. Tax profiles are created under Settings, "Tax".
Choices
Options such as sauces, sizes or cooking degree are choices, made on the "Choices" tab of Menus. Tick the groups a dish offers under its "Choices" card and guests are asked when they order. The Choices and menus by time guide explains how to build them.
Translations
"Translate the menu" shows your menu beside each language guests are offered. Pick one under "Translate into", type the names and descriptions, and press "Save translations". "Translate missing with AI" drafts only the empty fields; nothing is saved until you have checked them.
Dishes from your group
A restaurant in a group sees "Group dishes": the dishes the group publishes to it. The group sets them; you may change only the fields it allows, such as the price or the availability, and "Reset to group" puts back the group's value.
