Loyalty

Guests and Loyalty sit together under Guests & marketing. Guest profiles are on every plan; the points scheme and the promo codes are part of the Growth and Pro plans.

Guest profiles

Every order with a phone number becomes a profile, so you can see who comes back without keeping a list by hand. The Guests page lists them with visits and spend; search by name or phone, or filter by "Agreed to messages", "At least this many visits" and "Came in within" the last 30 days, 90 days or the year.

A profile shows their details, your notes, whether they agreed to marketing messages, their orders and their points history. Under "Their data", two buttons respect the guest's rights: "Download their data" and "Erase personal details". An erased profile keeps its order totals but loses the name, phone and email.

Run the scheme

On the "Points" tab of Loyalty, tick "Run the scheme" and set the rules:

  • "Name of your points", as guests see it.
  • How many points a guest earns for each unit of your currency spent.
  • "What one point is worth": what is taken off the bill for each point spent, in your currency.
  • "Minimum to redeem (points)".
  • "Largest share of the bill payable in points (%)".
  • "Points expire after (months, blank = never)".

The line under the form works an example through: what "A guest spending" a given amount earns and what that is worth off a future bill. Balances appear under "Who holds points" as guests complete orders.

Spending points

After an order, the guest's status page says how many points they earned and shows their balance. Points are spent by staff, from the profile, with "Use points on an order": choose the order and how many points, within the fewest and the most the scheme allows. "Adjust by hand" adds or removes points with a reason, for a goodwill gesture or a correction, and the reason stays in the history.

Promo codes

Under "Promo codes", create a code with either "Percentage off" or "Fixed amount off", a minimum order, a start and an end date, "Uses in total" (blank for unlimited) and "Uses per guest". The "Used" column counts redemptions. A guest types the code at checkout; the till has the same field on a pickup, delivery or table ticket.

One discount per order: a coupon and a manager discount do not stack. If a manager has already discounted a bill, a coupon on it is refused, and the other way round. See the POS and till guide for manager discounts.

Messages

Guests who agreed to messages can be filtered on the Guests page and messaged through the channels enabled under Settings, Messages and alerts. The Insights page counts repeat guests, and the Insights guide explains where to find that.
