  1. 01

    K-Series exports recognised

Accounting groups become categories, and prices are read the way your country writes them.

  2. 02

Set up without a sales call

A guided setup walks you from your country and tax to a first test order.

  3. 03

    Guests and campaigns

Your guest list arrives with consent as recorded, ready for campaigns to those who agreed.

What comes with you

  • Your menu: groups, items and prices from the K-Series item export.
  • Your guests: names, phones and emails, with marketing consent only where the file shows it.
  • Your gift cards: each balance and expiry, with the code guests already hold.

How importing works

How it works

Take a restaurant on Lightspeed K-Series that wants its item list and guests in a new restaurant POS.

  1. Export your items from Lightspeed K-Series as a CSV file. In the BookNDish admin, open Bring your data and choose the menu import.
  2. Upload the file. The columns Accounting Group, Item Name, Price (incl. tax) and Variant are recognised, and accounting groups become categories.
  3. Read the preview, check each price against what you charge today, and fix any listed row in the spreadsheet. Then press Import.
  4. Add your guest list with a marketing consent column, and gift cards if you have balances outstanding. The imports run in the background and each reports the rows it skipped.

What you need

  • CSV files exported from Lightspeed K-Series. Semicolon, comma and tab separators are all read, up to 5 MB and 10,000 rows per file.
  • An admin login that can edit the menu. Guest imports need an owner or manager, and gift card imports need gift card permission and a plan with gift cards.
  • A browser on a laptop for the import, and a tablet or phone with a current browser for the till. Check any Lightspeed printers or readers you want to keep with their vendor.

What it does not do

  • Only categories, items, variants, descriptions and prices come across. Photos, modifiers, tax rules and stock are not read, so set your tax in the admin afterwards.
  • Order history, payment history, reports and Lightspeed hardware stay behind. The import does not read other Lightspeed products.
  • Guest and gift card files are read by generic column names. A guest with no phone and no email is skipped, and a new guest needs a phone number.
