  2. 02

    Your own address

Add your domain and create two DNS records. Your guest pages go live on it, and its security certificate is issued for you.

  3. 03

    Found where guests look

Ready-to-paste links for Google, Instagram and Facebook, your hours, menu and photos synced to your Google Business Profile, and a place in the BookNDish directory.

How to start

What you do in the back office to switch it on.

  1. Edit the words, photos and sections of your page.
  2. Add your own domain and create its two DNS records.
  3. Copy your links into Google, Instagram and Facebook.

How it works

Take a family restaurant that has only a social media page and wants a proper website at its own address, found on Google.

  1. The owner opens the website editor, picks a starting template for a cafe, bar, restaurant or hotel, and edits the words and photos in each language. Sections can be shown, hidden and reordered, with a live preview beside them.
  2. Changes are saved as a draft first. Publishing makes the draft the page guests see, and BookNDish keeps the last five published versions, so an earlier one can be restored.
  3. In the domain settings the owner enters their domain. The page shows a CNAME record and a TXT record to create at the registrar, and BookNDish checks them until the domain is verified.
  4. The owner connects a Google account and picks the business location. Hours, closing days, the menu and photos are sent to the Google Business Profile, and later changes are sent again automatically if that is switched on.

What you need

  • A web browser and a sign-in with settings access. Photos are uploaded in the editor, and videos are YouTube or Vimeo links.
  • The full editor is a plan feature, and some looks, video sections and the subdomain are further ones. A free look can be published on any plan. Which plans include each is listed on this page.
  • For your own domain you need a domain you own and access to its DNS settings, to add the records shown. For Google, you need a Google account that manages your Business Profile.

What it does not do

  • Your own domain serves the guest pages: your landing page, menu, ordering and booking. The back office stays on the BookNDish address.
  • A page is built from ready-made sections, up to 40. You choose content and order, and you cannot add custom code or invent new section types.
  • Syncing to Google is one way, from BookNDish to Google, and Google keeps special hours only for the year ahead. Instagram and Facebook get ready-to-paste links, not an automatic feed.
